SKELETON CREW Encore

Here is how the cover looks now- I adjusted the font so it doesn't come on so strong and make the thing look overly "busy"- also you can see how the front and back will look by themselves--- and the whole thing sans type. I wanted to create a whole "Skeleton Crew World" incorporating as many elements from the stories in the book as I could. We see Mrs Todd and her friend riding past the Milkman who is holding The Monkey, with Uncle Otto's Truck coming toward them and Nona hitch-hiking while twisted mice from The Jaunt float in space, the giant monster from The Mist walks by and we see bits and pieces of Gramma, The Raft, and so on.

Dread Alive

Top image is from John Stanley's immortal classic THE MONSTER OF DREAD END which somehow appeared in a Dell comic called Ghost Stories circa 1961. It was a great story that made no sense and didn't need to. It was like a nightmare and the monster was just a huge snakey thing with a clawed hand for a head that crept up walls and into windows, snatched sleeping children, and proceeded to crush them and suck their juices out through pores in its "palm". Yum. Anyway I did a "fumetti" adaptation of the story adding just a couple of minor gross story points but hopefully respecting the material. The bottom pic is a sample from that (called simply DREAD END) and shows kind of how
it might have looked as a movie. Or tries to.
