Great movie concept artistTim Flattery as Harry Hauser is awesome! Funny too. Backgrounds are mostly from Henry Galiano's wonderful Maxilla and Mandible store in NYC and the the outdoor shots are from (where else) Bronson Canyon and Bronson Cave, seen in COUNTLESS monster movies, westerns and tv shows- BatCave anyone? The jeep is a model. This is from SCORPAMANTULA (scorpion, mantis, tarantula) which appeared in my book MORBID from Dark Horse. I loved making these comics cause I got to work with friends like directing a movie whereas comic work is usually just you sitting there!

Curse of Chucky Wins an Award

"Curse" just won the Audience Award for Best International Feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival. Yee -ha! What this means to me is a big congratulation to Don Mancini, a terrific guy who has been fun and courteous to work with as a storyboard artist, both on this one and also on Seed Of Chucky. The man brought killer deli sandwiches for me AND my family every day we worked together. Whos does that? Nobody, that's who! Hooray for Don, say I! Here's a Curse storyboard page for your perusal. I don't think they will mind- it hardly gives anything important away!

New Guys In The Mural

My ongoing mural called PETE VON SHOLLY'S HISTORY OF MONSTERS is ever expanding and I keep filling it in with new stuff. Just added the monster from Night Gallery's version of Pickman's Model today. This should be part of a nice foldout book next Halloween (2014). I will of course post info as it becomes known as to exactly when, where, how etc.

Turns out we BOTH wrote to Arkham House as teenagers and both corresponded with  August Derleth for a while. Of course Ramsey got a BOOK published out of it. But I at least got to be part of one of HIS books lo these many moons later. Get it from PS PUBLICATIONS in the UK!

Monsterpalooza 2013

A sketch I did while hanging at my hallway gallery space at Monsterpalooza! Great place to sit and draw in! Saw tons of great friends and actually had a chance to chat with many, 'cause the hall is quieter than the main room. A good time was had! Did a LOT of custom drawings for people for a mere $20@ while manning the table. Gives me something to do! Had some fun and some weird requests!
